About The Program

The program begins with Ward Allen's little known sequel to his fiddle hit Maple Sugar: Back To The Sugar Camp. When you're in a cabin in the woods there is nothing quite like a great fiddle tune get your spirits up. And then things start happening.

Another thing of importance: the Sugar Camp only airs once a week for just an hour. This is not a hit's oriented program so airplay of any particular album or CD will get only limited exposure. I try to air them in a timely manner but you must realize that any CD sent to the Sugar Camp may only get one track of airplay and not be heard again for months. There's just too much stuff coming in all the time that begs a listen as well as the mountains of vinyl building up in the shed; special topics and other specials also require careful examination. So you can bet not getting overplayed on this program.

Playlists will appear on the Sugar Camp web site as well as being emailed to subscribers of Folkdj, Maplepost. They are also sent out to Sugar Camp playlist subscribers so all in all, well over a thousand places.

Check out the playlists and see if they configure to your music.
