The Strawberry Statement: is a 1970 cult film about the counterculture and student revolts of the 1960s about the Columbia University protests of 1968. The film won the Jury Prize at the 1970 Cannes Film Festival.  The Loner" is a song by Neil Young, his first solo single. It was released on his solo debut album in November 1968, was written while Buffalo Springfield was in its last throes. It is the first Young track produced by David Briggs, with whom Young would collaborate until Briggs's death 1995.

Formed 1971 in Halifax. The Barkhouse produced "Shape Up Or Ship Out" was recorded at Solar Audio between March and September of 1979 and released the following year. Lake, Torreson and Moore all played on the album. Two songs "Believe Me Lady" and "See The Sun" that were on the first album
were re-recorded for this album. Again, all songs were band originals. The band toured Quebec, Ontario and the Atlantic Provinces several times before they broke up in 1982.

Barkhouse relocated to Toronto for several years before returning to Halifax in the mid 90's and reunited with Lake to form Barkhouse, Lake and Cook.
