Arthur Fiedler (December 17, 1894 – July 10, 1979) Composed in 1880 when Tchaikovsky was 40, he thought the overture was very noise, written without much love and probably not of much artistic value. The Cannons  were difficult to record: artillery fired in the open air sounds impressive, but when recorded sound like popguns so they used three shotguns loaded with black powder and were overdubbed (Fielder used earplugs). 1st Classical conductor to embrace the music of The Beatles

This album was originally released as Joni Mitchell because the LP album covers were printed incorrectly, cutting off part of the "Song to a Seagull" title
Sufered a brain aneurysm in 2015 – said to be still recovering.

They achieved their greatest popularity in the 1980s with "The Safety Dance", a worldwide Top Ten hit
The Doroschuk brothers, who were born in Champaign, Illinois, had moved to Montreal with their parents as young children.

Formed MWOH in 1977. Chose their name from refusing to wear hats during Montreal's cold winters, calling themselves "the men without hats."
Disbanded in 1991 but reformed in 2010

Last Kinks recording to feature bass playing of Pete Quaife who played on several tracks before being replaced by John Dalton.

First 2 albums were on Shelter Records who owned the publishing. When Shelter was sold to MCA, Petty declared bankruptcy to free himself from his contractural obligations resulting in MCA backing down and allowing Petty to have his own label, Backstreet Records – to be distributed by MCA. This gave him the freedom to do as he pleased.

Jackson Hawke was co-founded in 1974 by Tim Ryan and Bob Yeomans. The two had originally begun working together as professional musicians in 1963 and had earlier been managed by noted Canadian manager, promoter and record producer Bernie Finkelstein. Ryan and Yeomans, originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, had been in an early Canadian garage band, The Amen. Tim Ryan developed a solo career after Jackson Hawke. In 1984, he was nominated for a Juno Award as "Most Promising Male Vocalist of The Year"

Bucky Berger is listed as their new drummer on the album cover but didn’t actually play on the album

I first heard this song on the radio when John Donabie was working at CKFH Toronto (a station owned by the late Foster Hewitt) is currently CJCL The Fan 590. The station first aired on February 21, 1951 as an MOR station. The song was most probably played by Terry David Mulligan who hosted  "Open Lid", an open format late night show. He’s currently the host of Mulligan Stew heard on CKUA radio in Alberta.
