On a hot and windy Victoria Day in 1977, a discarded cigarette started a fire that destroyed 140 buildings and left over 400 homeless. Ed Cook of Mississauga ON was tearing down a building – had the roof off, working with his 16 yr old son Paul & his cousin Stephen Fraser. Fraser tossed a cigarette butt into the debris piled behind the building and that was it.

Linda's father Randy Wood was president of Dot Records, and he liked Storm so much that he called to sign her before the end of the television show. She has three stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for her contributions to television, recordings, and radio. This song was released at the same time as Bonnie Guitar’s version – both charted well.

April 63 #35 on CHUM top 50 chart
Born 1937 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. A regular on The Hometown Jamboree (CFCF, Montreal, Que.).
Wrote the song in 59, played it in Montreal nightclubs.
Montreal radio wouldn't touch the song at first, reluctant to incite Richard fans -- especially with Howe closing fast on the Rocket's NHL-record 544 goals. So Davies sent it up to CHUM radio in Toronto, where overnight deejay Bob Laine played it at 5 a.m. to huge audience reaction. It was aired again two hours later, flooding the station's switchboard, and became an instant hit. Montreal radio soon was playing the record into dust, and it soared on the charts in all six NHL cities. Davies played the Montreal Forum in October 1964, an opening act for the tour of the Dave Clark Five, Now living in Stouffville selling cars.

15. The Troggs: From Home (Reg Presley)
45 single bw Wild Thing: Fontana Records – F 1548
Andover UK
Reg Presley: vocal
Ronnie Bond: drums
Pete Staples: bass
Chris Britton: guitar
Produced by Larry Page  - 1966

Because of a distribution dispute, The Troggs' single was available on two competing labels: Atco and Fontana. Because both pressings were taken from the identical master recording, Billboard combined the sales for both releases, making it the only single to simultaneously reach No. 1 for two companies.

On the Atco label, "Wild Thing" is credited to Reg Presley (Troggs' lead vocalist) and "With a Girl Like You" (its flip side) to Chip Taylor. The author credits are reversed. On the Fontana label, "Wild Thing" is credited to Chip Taylor and the flip contains a different song, "From Home", credited to Reg Presley.

Single bw Inside Out: Reo Records 8735X
Winnipeg MB
Chad Allan (vocals/guitar)
Bob Ashley (keyboards)

Jim Kale (bass)
Garry Peterson (drums)
Produced 1963

Released on Quality Records Reo subsidiary, deliberately mis-credited to Bob Ashley & The Reflections. By 1965, the group was forced to change its name to Chad Allan & the Expressions after a U.S. group called The Reflections had scored a hit with "Just Like Romeo & Juliet".
