These demos were recorded in September 1968, just a few weeks after the band was formed thus became Canada's first "major label" act to be the victim of a bootlegged album. Although it was recorded a year earlier, this album was released after their official first major label album, Stink. Producer, John Irvine, was the same guy who first signed Stompin’ Tom Connors to the Rebel Records label. Connors claimed in his augobiography, that Irvine was a ripoff artist.

Recorded at Sound Horn Studio, Rochdale College, Toronto by Billy Bryans

The first Downchild album was recorded at Rochdale College in Toronto in a make-shift studio. It was one of the first truly independent record releases in Canada at the time.
Donnie Walsh and others distributed the album by hand. It was also welcomed by major Toronto music retailer Sam Sniderman of Sam the Record Man renown, who was very much disposed to promoting Canadian music. The record was soon acquired by RCA Records Canada for more general distribution in 1976

5.   The Yardbirds: I’m Confused (Jimmy Page)
Live Yardbirds: Epic Records – E 30615
London UK
Keith Relf- harmonica, lead vocals
Jimmy Page- guitar
Chris Dreja- bass
Jim McCarty- drums, backing vocals
Produced by Don Meehan & Buddy Graham – 1971
Recorded at Anderson Theatre, New York City, 30 March 1968

A live album with fake audience: CBS/Epic Records overdubbed crowd noises from bullfights and other sound effects onto the original tracks against the band's wishes, The Yardbirds rejected the album as a candidate for release upon its original completion in mid-1968, but Epic released it in 1971 in response to Led Zeppelin's success. Jimmy Page, who had taken ownership of the Yardbirds name following the band's 1968 dissolution, threatened legal action against the label for releasing Live Yardbirds without authorization and Epic quickly withdrew it. copies of  Live Yardbirds are thus quite rare, and the album has often been counterfeited (sometimes in black-and-white covers claimed to be promotional copies) as a result.

Early Lightfoot: AME Records - 7000
Toronto, ON
Produced by Art Snider - 1971
Recorded in Nashville TN circa 1962

The album was released just as Lightfoot signed with Reprise Records just after the release of If You Could Read My Mind. It was basically just a collection of singles recorded in Nashville in 1962. The photo, taken at Mariposa Folk Festival 1970, made the album look like a new Lightfoot record.  Not the first bootlegged Lightfoot album.
